Man charged with traf­fick­ing 50.40 grams of syabu

KOTA KINABALU: A 26year-old man was charged at the Mag­is­trate’s Court here yes­ter­day with traf­fick­ing in 50.40 grams of syabu.

How­ever, no plea was taken from Tadih Has­san when he was brought be­fore mag­is­trate Cindy Mc Juce Bal­i­tus, as the chemist’s re­port was still pend­ing.

Tadih was al­leged to have com­mit­ted the of­fence be­side the Dang N Cafe Res­tau­rant in Ban­dar Sierra, Telipok at 8.20pm on Oc­to­ber 31.

The charge framed un­der Sec­tion 39B (1)(a) of the Dan­ger­ous Drugs Act 1952, and pun­ish­able un­der Sec­tion 39B (2) of the same Act, car­ries the manda­tory death sen­tence, upon con­vic­tion.

The court fixed De­cem­ber 12 this year for re-men­tion of the case and or­dered the ac­cused to be fur­ther de­tained in cus­tody, pend­ing dis­posal of the case.
