KOTA KINABALU: Six Sabah coaches took part in the recent Karate Seminar with Nippon Budokan & Budo Federation at Gym III, National Sports Council in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

They are Julian Chin, Ricky Leong, Danny Fredoline, Robert Lo, Wong Yee Lok and Lejinah Yantoni.

According Julian, the oneday seminar which included both Kata and Kumite has been a great learning experience for them.

Julian, who is also Sabah Karate Association (SKA) secretary general, believed the newly gained knowledge would assist in the development of the sport in the state.

“It was a good seminar. We learned a few styles of karate, namely Shotokan, Shitoryu and Gojuryu despite the short seminar,” he texted yesterday.
