Don’t worry over low fly­ing RMAF planes

KOTA KINABALU: Mem­bers of the pub­lic in Sabah have been ad­vised not to worry or be alarmed when they see Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) air­craft fly low in their ar­eas as they were only part of an ex­er­cise held from yes­ter­day un­til Nov 26.

In a state­ment is­sued yes­ter­day, the RMAF said the Par­adise Se­ries 4/2017 Ex­er­cise which was based in Labuan Air Base in­volved Sabah air space and the waters around it.

“Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, RMAF air­craft will fly low dur­ing the day and night in sev­eral ar­eas in the Sabah airspace which has been gazetted as lo­ca­tions for the ex­er­cise,” the state­ment said.

Among the RMAF air­craft used for fly­ing low are the SU-30MKM, Hawk, F/A-18D, C130H, KC130, CN235, EC725 and Nuri.
