Mon­go­lia’s largest tra­di­tional dwelling in­cluded in guin­ness world records

ULAN BATOR: Mon­go­lia’s largest tra­di­tional round-shaped dwelling, or Mon­go­lian ger, was in­cluded in the Guin­ness Book of Records as the largest ger in the world, lo­cal me­dia re­ported yes­ter­day, cit­ing ger maker Sel­nen com­pany.

The con­struc­tion of the ger with a di­am­e­ter of 28.81 me­tres and a max­i­mum ca­pac­ity of 500 peo­ple took four months, China’s Xin­hua News Agency re­ported the com­pany as say­ing.

The gi­ant ger in Khatan­bu­lag soum in the south­east­ern prov­ince of Dornogovi was con­structed to show Mon­go­lia’s no­madic life­style to for­eign and do­mes­tic tourists. — Ber­nama
