Adele made over RM2.8 mln each night during live tour
LONDON: Singer Adele, 28, earned more than £ 500,000 ( RM2.8 million) each night during her Live tour last year
Her latest album, “25”, which won her the Grammy award for Album of the Year, was also the fastest- selling in UK history.
The massive payday was disclosed in new accounts fi led by her fi rm Remedy Touring, of which she is the sole director.
Said an insider: “Given this was Adele’s fi rst ever world tour her earnings really are incredible. If you break it down then she was making more than half a million every single night.
“The latest accounts just go up until April, when she was only a few months into the tour, which make it all the more astounding.”
During the tour, Adele was selling out arena after arena every night. Not surprisingly, she is keen to upgrade to stadiums for her upcoming tour of Australia.
Adele, thought to be worth £ 85 million ( RM476 million), earned the equivalent of £ 84,000 a day in 2015 through her company Melted Stone Limited.
Her accounts were boosted by the sales of her album “25”, released in November 2015, which sold more than three million copies worldwide in the fi rst week.
