Adele made over RM2.8 mln each night dur­ing live tour

LON­DON: Singer Adele, 28, earned more than £ 500,000 ( RM2.8 mil­lion) each night dur­ing her Live tour last year

Her lat­est al­bum, “25”, which won her the Grammy award for Al­bum of the Year, was also the fastest- sell­ing in UK his­tory.

The mas­sive pay­day was dis­closed in new ac­counts fi led by her fi rm Rem­edy Tour­ing, of which she is the sole di­rec­tor.

Said an in­sider: “Given this was Adele’s fi rst ever world tour her earn­ings re­ally are in­cred­i­ble. If you break it down then she was mak­ing more than half a mil­lion ev­ery sin­gle night.

“The lat­est ac­counts just go up un­til April, when she was only a few months into the tour, which make it all the more as­tound­ing.”

Dur­ing the tour, Adele was sell­ing out arena af­ter arena ev­ery night. Not sur­pris­ingly, she is keen to up­grade to sta­di­ums for her up­com­ing tour of Aus­tralia.

Adele, thought to be worth £ 85 mil­lion ( RM476 mil­lion), earned the equiv­a­lent of £ 84,000 a day in 2015 through her com­pany Melted Stone Lim­ited.

Her ac­counts were boosted by the sales of her al­bum “25”, re­leased in Novem­ber 2015, which sold more than three mil­lion copies world­wide in the fi rst week.
