LUNDU: The Barisan Nasional director of operations for Tanjong Datu, Dato Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar says that all polling districts will be ready for the by- election tomorrow regardless of the weather.

Speaking at the community hall here yesterday, he urged all voters to come down and cast their votes even if it rained heavily on that day.

He said he was aware of the occasional heavy rains here, especially in the morning these past few days.

He was, however, optimistic that flash flood would not occur here during the by- election although all flood-prone areas had been identified.

He also said local community leaders together with their charges had been asked to be alert if floods happen in their respective areas.

“We are ready for anything. What is important is a good turnout of voters during polling,” he added.

Still on polling, Wan Junaidi said wheelchairs would be provided for those with mobility issue to cast their votes, complete with assistants (to push the wheelchairs).

He also called on voters to support BN candidate Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, who has been chosen by Barisan Nasional ( BN) to stand in the by- election.
