LUNDU: Voters in Tanjong Datu have been asked to vote for the candidate who will bring more development to the area.

Jempol MP Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said only Barisan Nasional ( BN) candidate Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu can ensure continuous development in the area.

“We must vote for a candidate who can help bring about more development. When it comes to development, we must support the candidate from the ruling coalition.

“I believe with the strong support from you all, we can win this by- election and Tanjong Datu will continue to be developed,” he said during an event in Kampung Stoh here yesterday.

Mohd Isa pointed out that the opposition cannot allocate grants for development and votes for them would be meaningless.

“Do not believe in what the opposition says. Do not get emotional over what the opposition alleges against the government but think hard about where your future lies.

“I met Puan Sri Jamilah at her residence last night. She told me that she is ready to be your elected representative,” he said.

Mohd Isa, who is also Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad chairman, presented various aid to the people as well as kitchenware to the mosque. He also visited two longhouses at Kampung Kangkar.

Campaigning with him was Jamilah’s son Azizul Annuar Adenan.

Voters will decide at the polls tomorrow between Jamilah, Rapelson Richard Hamit of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru and the State Reform Party’s Johnny Aput.
