Flooded Wind Cave Nature Reserve temporarily closed
KUCHING: Wind Cave Nature Reserve will be temporarily closed with immediate effect due to flooding caused by incessant rain in the area, said Sarawak Forestry Corporation ( SFC) in a notice yesterday.
The notice said the jetty platform located near the Nature Reserve’s office is submerged.
”Overflowing of water from a nearby river had also flooded the interior of Wind Cave,” it said.
But Fairy Cave Nature Reserve nearby is still open to the public for the time being.
The public may contact the management of Wind Cave and Fairy Cave Nature Reserves at 082- 375490 as well as National Park Booking Office at 082248088 for further enquiries and information.
Wind Cave will be reopened to visitors once the situation returns to normal.
Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
