In­ter­hill Group em­ploy­ees ob­serve Earth Hour

MIRI: In­ter­hillGroupofCom­pa­nies ob­served Earth Hour in ad­vance this year on March 24 by turn­ing off all non- es­sen­tial lights for one hour in Wisma In­ter­hill.

Its em­ploy­ees em­braced the cause by stay­ing back af­ter work and later gath­ered around the can­dle light-up area at the lobby.

“It is im­por­tant for ev­ery­one to play their part, no mat­ter how big or small, in help­ing to re­duce neg­a­tive im­pact on our en­vi­ron­ment,” In­ter­hill Group cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions man­ager Ange­lyna En­tal said.

She also men­tioned her hope to see all em­ploy­ees help out in cre­at­ing aware­ness about the im­por­tance of re­duc­ing car­bon foot­prints, not only in the work­place but also at home.

“We at In­ter­hill Group also would like to en­cour­age as well as to al­ways look for­ward to mak­ing more ef­fort in help­ing to make the Earth a bet­ter place for ev­ery­one,” she added.

In­ter­hill es­ti­mated a min­i­mum sav­ing of 330,000 watts over­all in elec­tric re­duc­tion at the Wisma In­ter­hill Water­front Com­mer­cial Cen­tre here through the Earth Hour cam­paign.

“We will also con­tinue to put sim­i­lar ef­forts into busi­ness prac­tices, and en­cour­age our stake­hold­ers to re­duce their car­bon foot­prints as well.” Earth Hour this year was ob­served world­wide on March 25.
