MCC receives 19 complaints on its services
MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) received a total of 19 complaints from the public regarding the council’s various services during its meet-the-people session at Krokop Lorong 5 Market recently.
An MCC spokesperson said the complaints were filed for the attention of the council’s respective sections.
“Out of the total number, 12 complaints were recorded under the Engineering section: three cases each under maintenance of drains, maintenance of roads/ road humps and illegal extensions/ constructions/structures as well as two complaints on road signages and one on grass cutting.”
THe Public Cleanliness and Maintenance (PCM) section received six complaints: two each on refuse collection, stray dogs and street sweeping.
The Public Health (PH) section contributed one complaint on market problem and maintenance.
The council hopes to get first hand information regarding its services through the session.
Bridging the communication gap with the people at grassroots level, the council hopes to get direct feedback from the people on how to improve its services.
