SRI AMAN: The RM3.3 million expansion project for Kampung Skait, Sri Aman is progressing well, said Lingga assemblywoman Simoi Peri during a site visit to the village yesterday.
The expansion project involves the building of basic infrastructure such as drainage and a gravel road.
“With the completion of this project, it will greatly improve the village and its surrounding areas,” said Simoi adding further that the project is fully funded by the state government.
She also pointed out that the state government is giving attention to develop the rural areas in Sarawak to ensure that it will be on par with its sub-urban and urban areas.
“The rural people should take this development project on a positive note as it shows that the rural areas are not left behind in the government’s development plans,” she added.
