SugarBun Cup returns with double prize money next month
KUCHING: The SugarBun Cup is back earlier than expected and this time the prize pool has been doubled to RM20,000.
The tournament will take place on Nov 23 to 26 at the C Atrium of VivaCity Megamall here.
Many would remember SugarBun Cup’s debut in May earlier this year with its big prize pool and equally impressive layout of the tournament held at VivaCity Megamall’s Centre Atrium.

SugarBun brand consultant Darrell Sin, in a press release yesterday, convinced the Esports community especially in East Malaysia that SugarBun Cup is not a one hit wonder and will keep coming back to not only help encourage gamers to embrace their passion and dreams of becoming a professional gamer but also to set an industry standard.

Registration opened on Sept 30, 2017 and in less than one week, half the team slots out of a total of 32 have been taken up.
Registration fee is RM200 per team inclusive of customised tshirt, meal vouchers and other goodies from sponsors.
The qualifying round will be held on Nov 18 and 19 at Gizmo Gamers in OneTJ.
The Champion will take home RM10,000 while first runnerup RM5,000, second runnerup RM2,000, third runner-up RM1,000, fourth placing RM500 while fifth and sixth placing RM250 each.
