Debak needs redevelopment — Razi
DEBAK is in need of a master plan to boost its growth, as part of the Rural Transformation Programme.
According to Razi Sitam (BN-Saribas), Debak has the potential to become the centre of economic activities in Saribas constituency.
“The increase in population and economic activities means Debak needs redevelopment for its transformation,” said Razi when debating the state budget at the State Legislative Assembly sitting yesterday.
“I therefore urge the government to come up with a master plan for Debak’s redevelopment, to fulfil the needs especially among the business community,” he said.
Razi also said more business premises and stalls needed to be built to cater to local entrepreneurs.
On another matter, Razi called for approval to expand Kampung Melayu Debak.
“Houses in the village are close to each other, and this has led to an environment not conducive for living with improper drainage system, unsystematic laying of electrical cables and narrow roads,” he said.
