Police trying to trace man missing for past two years
SIBU: Police here are trying to trace a man reported missing after he left his longhouse two years ago.
Sibat Garai, aged 35 then, left his family home at Rh Mathew here in 2015 and there has been no news of him since.
He is said to have walked out on his family due to some misunderstanding.
His disappearance was reported by his younger brother Amat in Selangor recently after his family in Rantau Panjang did not do so all this while.
“His family made appeals for him to return via RTM Sarawak’s Bahasa Iban radio station four times but to no avail,” Corporal Tinggie Entigal from the Sungai Merah police station told Bernama yesterday.
Anyone with information on Sibat is urged to contact Sungai Merah police station head Insp N. Nithiananthan on 084217901. — Bernama
