Ex­cit­ing day for Marudi folk at Pekida’s ‘Jom Ber­amei’ event

MARUDI: It was an ex­cit­ing day for the lo­cal folks dur­ing the ‘Jom Ber­amei’ event, hosted by the district’s Malaysian Is­lamic Prop­a­ga­tion and Wel­fare Or­gan­i­sa­tion ( Pekida) at Kam­pung Narum com­mu­nity hall here re­cently.

The car­ni­val- like event held many ac­tiv­i­ties ca­ter­ing to the young and old alike, such as a fish­ing com­pe­ti­tion, check­ers com­pe­ti­tion, carom com­pe­ti­tion, darts com­pe­ti­tion, mini ta­ble ten­nis tour­na­ment as well as a colour­ing con­test for chil­dren be­low the age of six.

Pekida Sarawak chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Drah­man Mohd Amin pre­sented the prizes after declar­ing the clos­ing of the event.

Baram po­lice rep­re­sen­ta­tive ASP chief Jaimie Hus­sein and Pekida Marudi chair­man Is­mail Hameed wit­nessed the cer­e­mony.
