Body of drowned In­dian na­tional found at Nanga Tulit

KAPIT: The body of an In­dian na­tional, who fell from the Arang Batu jetty at Nanga Tulit on Tues­day, was re­cov­ered by res­cuers yes­ter­day.

The body of the 21-year- old, iden­ti­fied only as Sunny, was found at the wa­ter­front at Te­malat, Song – some 50 kilo­me­tres from where the mishap oc­curred.

A state­ment from the Fire and Res­cue Depart­ment ( Bomba) said the body ar­rived here at 2.10pm and was im­me­di­ately sent to Kapit Hos­pi­tal for a post­mortem.

It was re­ported that the vic­tim had been un­ty­ing a barge from its moor­ing when he lost his bal­ance and fell from the jetty into the Ra­jang River.
