SK Tatau, SMK Tatau named TS25 pioneer schools
TATAU: SK Tatau and SMK Tatau have been named as pioneer schools for Transformasi Sekolah 2025 ( TS25) for this district. TS25 is a programme under the Education Ministry.
Headmaster of SK Tatau Janudin Abd Rahman said the programme is carried out based on effective leadership, quality teachers and the participation of the local community including parents, heads of departments and local community leaders.
“The Tatau Education office will be our partner to supervise the programme,” Janudin said during the Teacher’s Day celebration at the school yesterday.
Tatau assistant education officer Mohd Nor Abdullah officiated at the event.
Janudin said the official launch of TS25 programme for Tatau District would be held soon, and called for financial support from the corporate sector and elected representatives to assist them.
Ten retirees from the school were also remembered during the event.
Mohd Nor, meanwhile thanked SK Tatau for organising the meaningful event and also the teachers for their good work.
“Teachers are the front-liners who determine the future direction of our students.”
Earlier, the Tatau Districtlevel Teacher’s Day celebration was held at SK Kelawit, and was officiated at by Mohd Nor, who said he was impressed by the spirit of teamwork shown by schools in the district.
He also urged teachers to continue giving their best to produce the best human capital for the state.
Tatau traffic police chief Insp Muhammad Farid Remeli, Tatau Headmasters Council chairman Tony Madup, Tatau Fire and Rescue Department chief Nazari Harun, SK Tatau ParentTeacher Association committee member Elizabeth Munai, Penghulu Lim Tchia Hong, SMK Tatau principal Peter Use Lenjau and SK Kelawit headmaster Hamdana Osman were also present at the event.
