Sarawak En­ergy warns cus­tomers of Sesco scam calls

KUCH­ING: Sarawak En­ergy has warned cus­tomers about scam calls re­lated to their elec­tric­ity billing, re­tail ser­vices, or other operational in­for­ma­tion from per­sons claim­ing to be from Syarikat Sesco Ber­had ( Sesco) – Sarawak En­ergy’s re­tail and op­er­a­tions sub­sidiary.

In a press state­ment yes­ter­day, the com­pany noted con­cerned mem­bers of the pub­lic had re­ported calls from in­di­vid­u­als claim­ing to be Sesco em­ploy­ees threat­en­ing sup­ply dis­con­nec­tion un­less out­stand­ing bills are paid.

While thank­ing cus­tomers for ver­i­fy­ing these calls, Sarawak En­ergy re­it­er­ated the com­pany does not pro­vide bank ac­count num­bers to cus­tomers for the
