MIRI: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) Pujut welfare bureau presented aid to diabetic Tajudin Shebli, 64, on Wednesday.

Bureau committee member Masni Amit led the group to visit Tajudin at his home in Kampung Haji Wahed.

Masni said it was the bureau’s fi rst activity to help those in need this Ramadan.

“Based on the concern of the welfare bureau committee, we have planned such activities to ease the burden faced by those in need such as Tajudin, who lives with his disabled wife.

“Tajudin, who suffers from diabetes, had to use pieces of wood to move about, so we are happy to contribute a wheelchair for his use,” Masni said when met by The Borneo Post.

The welfare bureau also contributed basic necessities to him.

Masni said the welfare bureau will also hold a tahlil ceremony at the Darul Ehsan Mosque in Piasau Jaya, distribute food packs to five PBB branches under Pujut state constituency, and distribute bubur lambuk.
