Fire vic­tims to get new house af­ter Aidil­fitri

KUCH­ING: A fam­ily of five from Kam­pung Lubok Bunt­ing, Simun­jan, whose home was razed to the ground on Tues­day, will have a new house built for them af­ter Hari Raya Aidil­fitri.

As­sis­tant Min­is­ter of ECom­merce Datuk Mohd Nar­o­den Ma­jais, who is Ge­dong assem­bly­man, said a new house cost­ing RM30,000 would be con­structed.

Nar­o­den also pre­sented some cash and food items to the fam­ily on Wed­nes­day.

He said the house was lo­cated along one of the river­ine sys­tems of Batang Sadong within his con­stituency.

“The vic­tims were Ab­dul Rashid, his wife Ana, and three chil­dren. Their house was burnt down yes­ter­day ( Tues­day), pos­si­bly caused by an elec­tri­cal short- cir­cuit.

“I prom­ise to build a small house com­pris­ing a liv­ing room, two bed­rooms, a kitchen, a toi­let, and a bath­room cost­ing RM30,000 for them af­ter Hari Raya Aidil­fitri,” Nar­o­den said in a state­ment sent through What­sApp on Wed­nes­day.
