Man, son to re­main 100 feet from neigh­bours un­til next court hear­ing

KUCH­ING: The Ses­sions Court here yes­ter­day or­dered a man and his son to keep a dis­tance of 100 feet from their neigh­bours pend­ing fur­ther men­tion of their case on July 10 for vol­un­tar­ily caus­ing hurt.

Zam­suri Tambi, 47, and his son Alif Aidil Abadi, 18, were also or­dered by Judge Ti­mothy Fin­layson Joel to re­port them­selves to the Gita Po­lice Sta­tion on the first Mon­day on the month start­ing July 2.

The pair is ac­cused of vol­un­tar­ily caus­ing hurt to their neigh­bours – also a fa­ther and son – at Jalan Hashim Jaa­far here on June 2 this year around 2.20am, by strik­ing them with a sharp weapon and a rock.

They are charged un­der Sec­tion 324 and Sec­tion 326 of the Pe­nal Code, both of which carry a jail term, fine and whip­ping, if con­victed.

The court al­lowed Zam­suri and his son to be re­leased on bail of RM10,000 each with one surety each.
