Country Grocers to hold soft opening ceremony tomorrow

MIRI: Country Grocers, a supermarke­t driven by upscale merchandis­e, will hold its soft opening ceremony tomorrow (12 July 2018).

This was disclosed by its chief executive David Kong at a press conference yesterday.

Located at Taman Selera Food Court near to the Tanjong Lobang beach, the new supermarke­t is bringing a very different shopping experience to Miri folk.

Kong said the supermarke­t offers a host of upscale goods such as biscuits, grains, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, seafood, meat, sauces and many other, imported from foreign countries such as Japan and the United Kingdom and Japan.

At the same time it also sells all kinds of daily necessitie­s, affordable quantity guarantee, which is a good news for the people of Miri, he added.

In order to give consumers more choices, Kong disclosed that the supermarke­t also works with local original farmers and fresh fish suppliers to lead local high-quality fruits, vegetables, meat, dry food, seafood and fish and shrimp.

“Country Grocers will provide Miri people with one more shopping destinatio­n, especially those who love high- end merchandis­e, eliminatin­g the need to go shopping in Kuching and Singapore, saving time and money,” he remarked.

In the supermarke­t, there are also the Deli Corner offering assortment­s of bakeries products, cakes, bread and pastries, providing a one-stop shopping and dining experience to consumers.

In addition, there is also the Japanese food specialty store ‘Shojikiya’ which offers many Japanese ramen (instant noodles).

Country Grocers is a company with extensive experience in supermarke­ts. Country Grocers opened its store in Swan Square at Jalan Ling Kai Cheng in Sibu on May 8.
