Body of man found in abandoned fish pond

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The body of a man was found in an abandoned fish pond at Kampung Semera near here yesterday.

According to witnesses, they saw Hadiman Musli, 26, fishing there in the late afternoon.

It is believed that he drowned after falling into the pond not long after that.

Upon receiving an emergency call, firefighters from Kota Samarahan Fire and Rescue station rushed to the scene and launched a search- and-recover operation.

However, the villagers were the ones found the body around 7.15pm last night.

Hadiman’s remains were later taken to Asajaya Clinic, pending further action.
