1,000 attend ‘2018 Appreciation Night’
SIBU: Kanowit District education office held its ‘ 2018 Appreciation Night’ for about 1,000 people comprising teachers and its staff at a leading hotel here on Friday.
The ceremony was officiated by Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent.
In his remarks, Alexander called on educators in Kanowit District to always be optimistic in efforts to improve the education level in the district.
“All of the challenges should not become a hindrance for all of us to cooperate with the relevant parties to achieve excellent results.
“The success of the school is fully depended on the teachers, staff and also the school’s Parent- Teacher- Association ( PTA). Without their support, the school would not be able to achieve success in producing human capital in the future,” he said.
He added the event was held to show appreciation to educators in Kanowit District for their roles and contributions in educating the students.
Alexander stressed that teachers play an important role to ensure that the transformation agenda is achieved through the most effective and fastest way.
“This is to help prepare our human capital for the challenges in the Fourth Industrial Revolution ( IR4.0) era”.
