Founded in 1925 by Samuel Sydney Marchant, Marchant Asian Art has spent 90 years dealing in Oriental art. It’s not merely a business, but a family affair for four generations where the Marchants come together to appreciate and spread the love for Oriental art, with a penchant for jade.

Carrying pieces of Imperial Chinese Ming and Qing porcelains, jades, cloisonné, pottery and works of art, Marchant Asian Art prides itself in the superior quality of fine pieces it acquire and help place in major museums and collections worldwide. Guided by the highly experienced Richard Marchant, who was the former chairman of the British Antique Dealers Association and Oriental Vetting Committee at the Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair, the gallery carries antique pieces of the finest quality.

The antiques at Marchant Asian Art are intriguing due to the emphasis placed on rarity, quality and provenance. Looking at the antiques presented at Marchant Asian Art, it’s easy to get lost in them as you
