come to Malaysia to per­form. The se­cu­rity per­son­nel just wouldn’t let me through and I thought there’d be no chance of bring­ing Max to Malaysia to wow the pub­lic. Destiny in­ter­vened, though, and we met again, just the very next year, when I was hol­i­day­ing in Perth. I was pleas­antly sur­prised to learn the very same Max Pel­li­cano would be per­form­ing at the Bur­swood Casino, so I im­me­di­ately bought the best seats in the house for my fam­ily and my­self. This time around, I was much luck­ier and, upon my re­quest, Bur­swood’s En­ter­tain­ment Man­ager, Pa­trick Pierce, kindly ar­ranged for me to meet Max back­stage. He was cer­tainly very friendly and hum­ble, and, at that very first meet­ing, we man­aged to seal his first ap­pear­ance in Kuala Lumpur, tim­ing it for Novem­ber 2006.
