Espinosa. She was cho­sen for the EUR100,000 award out of 10 fi­nal­ists, in­clud­ing well-known chefs and ac­tivists such as Jose An­dres, Daniel Pat­teron, Roy Choi and Dan Giusti. Espinosa’s win was for her ef­forts in pro­mot­ing Colombia’s culi­nary bio­di­ver­sity and her lead­er­ship in restor­ing com­mu­ni­ties that were af­fected by the tu­mul­tuous drug wars. basque­culi­nary­world­
