1 NEW YORK

Ca­chet Hos­pi­tal­ity Group will part­ner Mer­chants Hos­pi­tal­ity Inc to not only man­age, but also brand the lat­ter’s 510 West 42nd Street prop­erty as a Ca­chet Bou­tique New York Hotel. This ef­fort with Ca­chet Bou­tique New York will al­low Group to ex­pand its North Amer­i­can pres­ence. The new life­style bou­tique hotel will be lo­cated in midtown Man­hat­tan, which is a pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tion for both lo­cals and in­ter­na­tion­als on West 42nd Street.

2 LONDON

In­fini­tus In­vest­ment (Hong Kong) Limited, a sub­sidiary of LKK Health Prod­ucts Group, re­cently agreed to pur­chase London’s land­mark com­mer­cial build­ing, 20 Fenchurch Street, from Land Se­cu­ri­ties Group and Ca­nary Wharf Group. Pop­u­larly known as the ‘ Walkie Talkie’, the GBP1.2825 bil­lion sale makes it the largest-ever of­fice com­plex prop­erty trans­ac­tion in the United King­dom for a stand­alone of­fice build­ing.

3 MU­NICH

After a for­mi­da­ble first half of 2017, BMW Group con­tin­ues to rev on in the im­ple­men­ta­tion of its Strat­egy NUMBER ONE > NEXT with the aim of shap­ing the mo­bil­ity of the fu­ture. In the sec­ond quar­ter of 2017, the group recorded growth in terms of vol­umes, rev­enues and earn­ings, boosted by the new 5 Se­ries. Forty new up­dated models of the group’s three pre­mium brands – BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce – will take to the mar­ket dur­ing the cur­rent and fol­low­ing year.

4 DOHA

Dublin warmly wel­comed the first Qatar Air­ways flight from Doha in in­au­gu­ra­tion of the new daily ser­vice that con­nects the world to the Ir­ish cap­i­tal. In cel­e­bra­tion of the oc­ca­sion, the air­line flew its next-gen­er­a­tion Air­bus A350 air­craft to Dublin. On­board was Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent of Qatar Air­ways Europe, Jonathan Hard­ing, who was greeted on ar­rived by Dublin Air­port CEO Kevin Toland and Tourism Ire­land CEO Niall Gib­bons.

Pre­mier lux­ury five-star hotel Sof­i­tel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Re­sort re­cently took home awards in var­i­ous cat­e­gories at this year’s World Travel Awards. The re­sort took pride in win­ning ‘In­done­sia’s Lead­ing Re­sort 2017’ and ‘Bali’s Lead­ing Re­sort 2017’. The pres­ti­gious an­nual awards has been ac­knowl­edg­ing, re­ward­ing and cel­e­brat­ing ex­cel­lence across all sec­tors of the global travel and tourism in­dus­try since 2006.

Tokio Ma­rine Life In­sur­ance Malaysia has in­tro­duced a brand new dig­i­tal fea­ture ser­vice that al­lows its cus­tomers to sub­mit on­line claims via its cus­tomer por­tal ‘round the clock. The pa­per­less e-Claims only re­quires cus­tomers to per­form four sim­ple steps to com­plete the claim process. The e-Claims is se­cure, per­son­alised and faster, as well as comes with a smart fea­ture that au­to­mat­i­cally de­tects the poli­cies that have the rel­e­vant ben­e­fits to claim for.

7 MACAO

At Wine Spec­ta­tor’s 2017 Res­tau­rant Awards, Sands Re­sorts Macao and Sands Macao’s 11 sig­na­ture restau­rants have been recog­nised for their re­mark­able wine pro­grammes. Among the restau­rants that re­ceived the awards are Zi Yat Heen at Four Sea­sons Hotel Macao, Dy­nasty 8 at Con­rad Macao, and Golden Court and Copa Steak­house at Sands Macao.
