Re­search car­ried out by Dr Ge­orgie Rus­sell from Unilever R&D and the Lip­ton In­sti­tute of Tea shows that drink­ing tea can im­prove one’s mood, en­hance fo­cus and alert­ness plus lower the risk of is­chemic stroke – thanks to thea­nine and tea flavonoids.

Thea­nine and caf­feine in tea op­ti­mise ac­ti­va­tion of parts of the brain re­spon­si­ble for at­ten­tion.

Tea flavonoids help blood ves­sels to re­lax and di­late, which is crit­i­cal for a healthy car­dio­vas­cu­lar sys­tem.
