Jam session in KL
AFTER shooting to fame in 2007 on One Million Star, a popular Taiwanese singing competition, Jam Hsiao is set to rock Malaysia with his first concert tour in December.
The self-taught musician who plays drums and the keyboard began his career as a pub singer. He became an overnight sensation at age 20 when he was handpicked to be a wildcard competitor on the first season of One Million Star.
Captivated by his vocal versatility and astounding charisma during his live performances, fans thronged the pubs he sang in and the rest is history.
Jam Hsiao Mr Rock World Tour kicked off in Taipei, Taiwan, last December and sold out another show in Singapore in March this year.
Fans can expect a unique and spectacular setup, as the stage will be transformed into a huge chessboard with gigantic chess pieces.
Befitting the title of the concert, Hsiao will be rocking out to tracks from his albums, such as Forgive Me (Yuan Liang Wo), Collection (Shou Cang), The Prince’s New Clothes (Wang Zi De Xin Yi), Stone That Knows Pain (Hui Tong De Shi Tou), Princess (Wang Fei), and also other classics in English, Hokkien, Cantonese and even Japanese.
During the concert, the singer will not only flaunt his fancy steps, belting out hits by Jolin Tsai, Cyndi Wang and the Wonder Girls, he will also demonstrate his roller blading and piano skills.
Jam Hsiao Mr Rock World Tour 2010, brought by UnUsUaL Productions Malaysia, will be staged at Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium, Kuala lumpur, on Dec 18 at 8pm.
Concert tickets are priced at RM388, RM328, RM268, RM228, RM168 and RM88.
