It’s 8200 now
IT had to happen, sooner or later. Audiolab, famed for its “8000” series of products for most part of the past quarter of a century, has made a break from that tradition. Its spanking new CD player is called ... wait for it, the 8200CD.
The 8200CD is a fully-featured integrated DAC (there’s a Sabre chip inside) and CD transport of advanced specifications – digital inputs, including USB, coaxial and optical, make it a child of the times.
USB compatibility also means it can interface with a number of media players, including WMP, iTunes, and iRiver. Additionally, it will play 24-bit/96-kHz audio through USB.
