You need: 5 sheets A4 mag­a­zine pages 2 satin cords – 2 colours; each 1m long 1 pair neck­lace clasps Dis­pos­able chop­stick Scis­sors Pli­ers Ham­mer PVA glue Tooth­pick Craft var­nish Brush T a glance, you might think this neck­lace is made of silk cords and fab­ric. The discs are paper coiled up tightly into a ring and var­nished. Two cords are threaded into the holes of each disc, on op­po­site sides. They are then twisted to­gether on both sides of the neck­lace us­ing a tech­nique that will keep them in po­si­tion when you have fin­ished clamp­ing the ends down.

If you do not twist the two cords as in­structed be­fore cross­ing them, they will un­ravel and straighten af­ter you have se­cured them at the end. Try it out to see what I mean!
