Potty over Potter
A3,000-strong crowd of die-hard Harry Potter fans descended on London’s Leicester Square for the world premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and to greet the film’s stars – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Ruper Grint. The reception in London is only just the tip of a wave that will sweep the globe, as Potter-mania grips moviegoers.
For almost a decade the Harry Potter franchise has captivated audiences with the film’s stars being its perennial crowd pleasers, and as such Galaxie magazine brings Harry Potter and friends to the forefront with an all-in-one three-cover special release today.
Unlike Galaxie’s double cover which featured Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner separately last year, the editor decided not to create “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” factions, which is why all three stars of Harry Potter have been given a cover of their own in this issue.
Besides the keepsake covers, fans are also treated to an interview feature on Radcliffe, where he reveals, besides his behind-thescene experiences, some of the mementos he’s retained from the film’s set.
“I’ve got the fake arm they used when my arm went floppy in the second film. I’ve also got a couple of little boxes and things from the classrooms. The cloaks have big pockets, so they fit quite a lot of gear.”
But Radcliffe still hasn’t picked up the one thing he wants the most from his years of playing Harry – the glasses. “That’s all I want. I don’t want the wand, just the glasses.”
So don’t be left behind and grab your collectible copy of Galaxie, out in newsstands today. And if, by some rare chance you are not a Harry Potter fan, fret not as the Nov 16 issue is also packed full of other entertainment-related goodies from music, featuring interviews with artistes like Secondhand Serenade, Bruno Mars and the Plain White T’s plus the latest celebrity gossip and TV news.
