Standard Chartered banking app for iPhone and iPad
STAnDARD Chartered Bank customers can now access its banking services from an iPhone and iPad.
They will fist have to download the Breeze mobile banking application from the Apple App store. Standard Chartered says Breeze has been designed to mirror its online banking services both in terms of features and experience.
To start using the services, users will have to log in using their online banking username and password. They will be able to access a number of services such as settle loan and utility payments, transfer money to a third party account and check the status of their credit card.
Also, with the app’s Calendar feature users will be able to view transactions for all accounts and set up reminders for bill payments.
Other features include an ATM Locator function which utilises the phone’s built-in GPS and map to point users to the nearest machine and a Wishlist function to help users create and manage saving plans.
The app is protected by the same bank-grade security used on its online banking site, which includes industrial strength encryption and two-factor authentication.
As an additional security measure, you cannot log in to the same account simultaneously on the PC and Breeze.
Standard Chartered plans to release a version for the Android early next year. —
