AMERICAN premium lifestyle brand Tumi recently unveiled its quintessential colours of fall, and stylish options for style-savvy men and women.
Willow, a rich green colour, and port, a dark red, are the two seasonal core colours for men and women this season.
“There’s also eucalyptus (a shade of green), multi-print (a combination of all the new fall colours and in different shades of the colour) and fog (light tint of pink and grey),” says Tan Yin Yin, brand manager of Tumi.
For women, Bellevue offers various brief, satchel and tote options in black and clay tones. Moorland has more relaxed options of messenger bags and shoulder bags in soft leather and simple silhouettes for the younger professional.
Georgetown includes an updated assortment for carry-on convenience such as Potomac International Carryon, Burleith Boarding Tote, Prospect Brief and Healy Laptop Attache.
“Moorland (originally for women) featuring (soft) lamb skin leather is (now) a ‘unisex’ collection. The Tumi logo was changed slightly to make it less feminine so that it would appeal to both men and women,” says Tan.
The more masculine Alpha range was adapted and recreated into the Georgetown collection for women.
For the Voyageur line, there are ultra-lightweight and versatile travel cases and acces-accessories for women.
“This season, there is also the Voyageur Baby Bag for mums and dads. It’s a blackblack bag with multi-compartmentspartments for baby’s clothes and diapers, two side pock-pockets for milk bottles, a changing mat and a bear tag,” says Tan.
Seurat features “prim and polished” accessories like wallets and travel clutches. Sloane is all about totes and satch-satchels in the autumnal colours of black and brown. The Vapor line offers protective hard-shell casing in willow, copper and a multi-colour combination of the two.
Men can take their pick from collections like Bedford, Kaden, Alpha Bravo (or Bravo) and Alpha.
The exclusive Bedford collection merges firm silhouettes, and subtle black and earl grey tones with the finest leathers.

“It’s a really luxurious trunk in earl grey with coated canvas for a nice finish. This trunk is made-to-order, and takes six to seven months to be made,” she explains.
Kaden has the newest all-leather day bags in asphalt and tan, and integrates uncoated vegetable-tanned and full-grain leather.
Tan describes the Alpha Bravo collection as “more casual, youthful and featuring more inverted seams to add more curves”.curves”. The line features lightweight yet rugged designs and fabrics.
The relaxed satchels in black, spruce and anthracite may appeal to the business traveller. The Alpha collection is an executive core range (of relaxed messenger bags and satchels) with industrial and squarish features. Seasonal colours include willow and port as well as espresso, with classic caramel full-grained leather trim in 10 styles.
