Rapper MC Hammer launches search engine
AMERICAN rapper, entertainer, businessman and ordained minister MC Hammer has unveiled his latest venture, Wiredoo, a new search engine focused on “deep search” and relational topics.
The announcement was made recently, during the Web 2.0 Summit held in San Francisco.
According to Hammer, other search engines, Google included, do not boast strengths in “relationship search,” which is connecting keywords to related topics.
He further explained that a search for a car is not just about the car, but also about the model, the mileage, the specifications and even the zipcode for the nearest local dealer.
“It’s about relationships beyond just the keywords,” said Hammer, whose venture comes with the tagline “Search once and see what’s related.”
Hammer does have prior experience with online ventures, having launched the site Dancejam.com.
He and his team have worked on the Wiredoo project for two years and the search engine is currently in pre-beta mode.
