THE excitement levels have gone up a notch or two with Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue’s confirmed to appear at the two-night F1 Rocks concert series at KLCC next month.
Minogue, 43, who isn’t currently on tour, arrives in Kuala Lumpur for this special F1 Rocks engagement on March 23.
Her upcoming show here (scheduled to be a 90-minute set, 10 dancers, four musicians) has created a huge buzz in the entertainment scene in the region.
“I am really looking forward to performing for my Malaysian fans for the first time! I will be visiting the Sepang International Circuit and the F1 paddock, sampling the action on the race track and cheering on my favourite drivers too!” said Minogue in a media release ahead of her debut concert here.
Minogue will arrive in Kuala Lumpur after her performance in Sydney for Mardi Gras.
The singer has promised a career-spanning live set, which means a “Kylie Minogue jukebox” extravaganza for the masses here.
On March 24, American R&B star Kelis, 32, holds down the party at the same venue with a host of local acts and deejays.
Local support acts to feature at the F1 Rocks parties include James Baum, Reshmonu and dance group Elecoldxhot. More names to be announced soon.
This is also the first time F1 Rocks will be held in Kuala Lumpur to coincide with the Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.
