From pre-tertiary to degree

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - EDUCATION GUIDE -

MAKING the decision to pursue the ALevels may seem simple but deciding on the best institution is not an easy task. Before you can pick a specific school, you will need to decide on what you want from your higher education. This is why at ATC, your learning experience is its topmost priority.

Since its commencement in 1987, ATC has offered education at pre-tertiary level to give students an opportunity to pursue further education in most fields. In the last five years, it has expanded regionally with branches in Penang, Singapore and Hong Kong.

ATC has strongly committed itself to providing unparalleled quality education. With over 2,000 students reading for professional and pre-tertiary studies at ATC, this is proof of its strong reputation and leadership in private education.

Vivian Oh, the 2013 recipient of the Malaysian Law Scholarship Award who will be furthering her University of London LLB degree at the prestigious King’s College, London, is a former A-Level student.

Oh achieved remarkable results for the ALevel examinations and went on to perform well during her first year of the LLB programme at ATC.

Being offered the prestigious King’s College scholarship is a remarkable achievement, providing her with an opportunity to complete her law degree in the United Kingdom on a scholarship.

This honour is offered to only one Malaysian annually and ATC has an outstanding track record of over 10 such scholars over the years.

Oh has benefited from the sound foundation she received from the solid teaching at ATC. The A-Level qualification has provided her with the proper tools to take on subjects that are more challenging in her degree.

Designed with the objective of giving students an opportunity to pursue further education in most fields, the A-Levels is awarded by the University of Cambridge.

Subjects offered at ATC include English literature, law, business studies, economics, accounting and mathematics. Examinations are held twice a year, giving students the chance to prepare for their respective subjects.

ATC has maintained its list of high achievers throughout the years. The outstanding students for 2012 from the School of PreTertiary include Ting Ee Linn, who obtained the highest scores in the world for law, and Chan Heng Joe, who scored top marks for eco- nomics in Malaysia on the AS Level.

This is testament to the strong commitment of the faculty in ensuring students excel in their education.

Discover the endless possibilities of studying at ATC. A holistic, integrated approach to learning is what ATC firmly believes in. With highly dedicated and experienced lecturers, the educational experience will allow students to develop confidence and character to pursue further education locally and abroad.

If you have not received an offer for matriculation, you can consider the A-Levels as an alternative to achieve the success you deserve.
