KBU In­ter­na­tional Col­lege is proud to be par­tic­i­pat­ing in a new ra­dio show ti­tled “De­signed” come Jan­uary.

The “De­signed” cre­ative talk show will dis­cuss is­sues, chal­lenges and de­vel­op­ments. It is ex­pected to raise the stan­dard of the cre­ative in­dus­try in Malaysia.

The ra­dio talk show, with the tagline “Cre­ativ­ity’s Cut­ting Edge: Cre­ative Col­lab­o­ra­tion Em­pow­ers Peo­ple”, is ex­pected to at­tract a broad lis­ten­er­ship com­pris­ing peo­ple from within the cre­ative in­dus­try, de­sign­ers, in­sti­tu­tions of higher learn­ing, ter­tiary stu­dents, en­trepreneurs, de­sign coun­cils, pol­icy mak­ers and busi­ness own­ers.

“De­sign is es­tab­lish­ing it­self as an im­por­tant role in many re­lated poli­cies and roadmaps put forth in the Prime Min­is­ter’s Vi­sion 2020 frame­work. By hav­ing ‘ De­signed’ on Ber­nama Ra­dio24, there can be a pos­i­tive turn for the de­sign in­dus­try,” said Malaysian De­sign Coun­cil se­nior gen­eral man­ager Fu­tom Shikh Jaa­far.

KBU’s School of De­sign Head Siow Yin Yoong and deputy head Dr Deb­bie Gan who were present dur­ing the launch of the talk show said: “KBU takes pride in sup­port­ing the ‘ De­signed’ ra­dio show.”

She added that ra­dio lis­ten­ers should take this op­por­tu­nity to ben­e­fit from the show which will fea­ture in­ter­est­ing per­son­al­i­ties from the de­sign in­dus­try and their take on is­sues per­ti­nent to the in­dus­try.

“It will also be a great plat­form for KBU In­ter­na­tional Col­lege to share some of its in­sights on de­sign with the lis­ten­ers. We will be on one of the ‘De­signed’ ra­dio shows in Jan­uary,” she said.

“De­signed” is pro­duced by Glen­reagh and pre­sented by CUTOUT in as­so­ci­a­tion with the Malaysia De­sign Coun­cil (MRM).

The School of De­sign is well known for its track record of pro­duc­ing award win­ners. Through­out the years, stu­dents have made the col­lege proud by bag­ging in­ter­na­tional and lo­cal ac­co­lades such as the Nip­pon Paint Young De­signer award, Sam­sung Gal­axy Won­der­land Com­pe­ti­tion and Philips Light­ing Com­pe­ti­tion.

KBU’s School of De­sign also of­fers the BA (Hons) In­te­rior Ar­chi­tec­ture & De­sign (3+0), BA (Hons) Graphic De­sign, Foun­da­tion in Art & De­sign, Di­ploma in In­te­rior De­sign, Di­ploma in In­ter­ac­tive De­sign and Di­ploma in Ad­ver­tis­ing De­sign.
