In support of talk show
KBU International College is proud to be participating in a new radio show titled “Designed” come January.
The “Designed” creative talk show will discuss issues, challenges and developments. It is expected to raise the standard of the creative industry in Malaysia.
The radio talk show, with the tagline “Creativity’s Cutting Edge: Creative Collaboration Empowers People”, is expected to attract a broad listenership comprising people from within the creative industry, designers, institutions of higher learning, tertiary students, entrepreneurs, design councils, policy makers and business owners.
“Design is establishing itself as an important role in many related policies and roadmaps put forth in the Prime Minister’s Vision 2020 framework. By having ‘ Designed’ on Bernama Radio24, there can be a positive turn for the design industry,” said Malaysian Design Council senior general manager Futom Shikh Jaafar.
KBU’s School of Design Head Siow Yin Yoong and deputy head Dr Debbie Gan who were present during the launch of the talk show said: “KBU takes pride in supporting the ‘ Designed’ radio show.”
She added that radio listeners should take this opportunity to benefit from the show which will feature interesting personalities from the design industry and their take on issues pertinent to the industry.
“It will also be a great platform for KBU International College to share some of its insights on design with the listeners. We will be on one of the ‘Designed’ radio shows in January,” she said.
“Designed” is produced by Glenreagh and presented by CUTOUT in association with the Malaysia Design Council (MRM).
The School of Design is well known for its track record of producing award winners. Throughout the years, students have made the college proud by bagging international and local accolades such as the Nippon Paint Young Designer award, Samsung Galaxy Wonderland Competition and Philips Lighting Competition.
KBU’s School of Design also offers the BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design (3+0), BA (Hons) Graphic Design, Foundation in Art & Design, Diploma in Interior Design, Diploma in Interactive Design and Diploma in Advertising Design.
