tHE flexibility shown by Management and Science University (MSU) has enabled Muhammad Redzwan Ismail, 24, to shine in both studies and sports. He is grateful he is able to indulge in his passion for sports while studying.

“I am grateful my involvement in athletics has the support of my family, coach and college mates. I have learnt to allot time for studies and sports,” says the student from Semenyih, Selangor.

The Bachelor in Event Management student, School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA) is actively involved in marathons.

“My lecturers, MSU Athletics Club and Shah Alam Pacers have been incredibly supportive. Without their guidance, I would not be able to focus seriously on my running,” he says.

“They guide me and keep my spirit burning in every competition I take part in.

“My lecturers help by giving me reference materials to ensure I will not lag behind in my studies.”

He says they understand his involvement in sports and provide him with the encouragement as MSU places emphasis on overall development of students and soft skills. Redzwan studied for a diploma in hospitality and tourism management at MSU from 2007 to 2010.

The SHCA at MSU currently offers bachelor and diploma programmes covering a wide area of interest.

These specialisations are equipped with components that ensure their compatibility with the relevant industry.

MSU has designed its academic programmes and developed the curriculum based on market requirements to ensure the employability of graduates.

This goes in line with MSU’s vision of becoming the specialised university of choice, providing holistic academic standards that are relevant to the needs of the industry and the nation while maintaining high ethical standards.
