Ex­cit­ing line-up of ac­tiv­i­ties

oN Dec 7, all Smart Reader Kids cen­tres will be hav­ing its Na­tion­wide Open Day where par­ents and chil­dren will be given the op­por­tu­nity to fa­mil­iarise them­selves with the teach­ing and learn­ing en­vi­ron­ment as well as gain in-depth in­for­ma­tion about the Smart Reader Kids pro­gramme.

In cel­e­bra­tion of Smart Reader Kids’ 13 years of suc­cess in pro­vid­ing qual­ity and ex­cel­lent early child­hood ed­u­ca­tion, the theme for the 2013/2014 aca­demic year is “Cel­e­bra­tion of Suc­cess”. All Smart Reader Kids cen­tres will be open from 2pm to 6pm.

Ac­cord­ing to Sar­a­vanan Marimuthu, the fran­chisee of Smart Reader Kids Ta­man Serem­ban Jaya, he has an ex­cit­ing line-up for par­ents and chil­dren. Apart from or­gan­is­ing arts and craft ac­tiv­i­ties, there will also be a clown who will en­ter­tain the chil­dren with his bal­loon sculpt­ing skills. Light re­fresh­ment and goodie bags will be made avail­able dur­ing the Open Day.

“See­ing that we are of­fer­ing the Smart Tadris cur­ricu­lum at our cen­tre, we will in­vite an us­taz from Masjid Ne­gara to con­duct a talk. We hope this will help par­ents un­der­stand more about the cur­ricu­lum,” says Sar­a­vanan.

The Smart Tadris pro­gramme un­der the newly launched Smart Reader Kids Is­lamic con­cept of­fers a com­pre­hen­sive cur­ricu­lum for Mus­lim chil­dren and was de­vel­oped by prom­i­nent ex­perts from Masjid Ne­gara.

The cur­ricu­lum com­prises Is­lamic sub­jects such as Iqra’, Qu­ran, Ibadah, Aki­dah, Akhlak, Jawi and Ara­bic. It also in­cludes Smart Reader sub­jects such as Smart Reader English, Smart Maths, Smart Ba­caan and Smart Science.

Siti Fa­timah Abd Latif, the fran­chisee of Smart Reader Kids Ta­man Impian Pu­tra, Bangi, and Smart Reader Kids Ban­dar Seri Pu­tra, Bangi, has a sim­i­lar line-up of ac­tiv­i­ties.

“Be­sides the usual colour­ing ac­tiv­ity, we will amuse the chil­dren by get­ting them to par­tic­i­pate in fun and in­ter­est­ing games. To add more fun to the event, we will also en­gage a pro­fes­sional clown. Our other ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude let­ting the chil­dren try out the Toy­ota Traf­fic Tots ac­tiv­i­ties as it proved to be a hit among the chil­dren at our last Open Day,” says Siti, who is also of­fer­ing the Smart Tadris cur­ricu­lum at her Smart Reader Kids Ban­dar Seri Pu­tra, Bangi cen­tre.

Par­ents who en­rol their chil­dren for the 2014 aca­demic year dur­ing the Open Day will re­ceive at­trac­tive and ex­clu­sive Smart Reader Kids mer­chan­dise. The items are avail­able while stocks last. There is a spe­cial of­fer for May­bank card­hold­ers as they will be en­ti­tled to re­ceive a free track top and bot­tom when they make a full-year pay­ment. Non-May­bank card­hold­ers will re­ceive a free rain­coat.

An­other Open Day pro­mo­tion is the Par­en­tRec­om­mend-Par­ent cam­paign. Par­ents of ex­ist­ing Smart Reader Kids stu­dents will be en­ti­tled to get a free um­brella when they rec­om­mend an­other par­ent to the cen­tre. Sib­lings of stu­dents who en­rol dur­ing this pro­mo­tion pe­riod will re­ceive an ex­clu­sive Smart Reader Kids lunch box.

As the fran­chiser of the Smart Reader Kids pro­gramme, Smart Reader World­wide has long es­tab­lished it­self as the premier provider of early child­hood ed­u­ca­tion in the coun­try.

Smart Reader World­wide con­ducts its Cor­po­rate So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity (CSR) ini­tia­tive to bring joy and hap­pi­ness to the chil­dren an­nu­ally. The com­pany or­gan­ised its Deep­avali cel­e­bra­tion at Wisma Smart Reader on Nov 21. Ap­prox­i­mately 100 chil­dren aged be­low 15 from Agath­i­ans Shel­ter, Per­sat­uan Ke­ba­jikan Rumah Rita, Rumah Ke­ba­jikan Anbu Il­lam, Rumah Nur Kasih Bes­tari and Sun­beams Home at­tended the event.

The event was fol­lowed by a pre­sen­ta­tion of a mock cheque for RM5,000 to the Malaysian Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety for the vic­tims of Ty­phoon Haiyan.

Malaysian Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety op­er­a­tions di­rec­tor Ha­j­jah Sham­siah Hj A. Kadir re­ceived the cheque from Smart Reader World­wide group ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor Datin Sri Datuk Dr K.H. Wang and As­so­ci­a­tion of Early Child­hood Providers Malaysia pres­i­dent Sham­ina Kr­ishna.

Tal­ented chil­dren of Smart Reader Kids Desa Sri Har­ta­mas, Smart Reader Kids Metro Prima and Smart Reader Kids Ta­man Bi­dara de­liv­ered spec­tac­u­lar per­for­mances.

In keep­ing with tra­di­tion, the man­age­ment of Smart Reader World­wide – group exec- utive di­rec­tor Dr K.W. Wang and cor­po­rate man­ager Ke­van Ong – gave Deep­avali pack­ets and goodie bags to the chil­dren.

One of the spon­sors, Carl’s Jr Malaysia op­er­a­tions di­rec­tor Bob Ali, shares, “Carl’s Jr is al­ways look­ing for the op­por­tu­nity to give back to the com­mu­nity.
