Gas­tro­nomic treats aplenty

THIS Christ­mas, get set for a treat at Vic­to­ria Sta­tion. Sit back, re­lax and en­joy your Christ­mas meal as you bask in the spirit of the sea­son amid the fine am­bi­ence of the restau­rant. The Sta­tion Christ­mas Menu is avail­able for lunch and din­ner from Dec 17 to 25 and fea­tures mouth-wa­ter­ing good­ies that would set the mood just right for the sea­son.

Start off with the ap­pe­tiser, Santa’s Hors d’ Oeu­vre that fea­tures deep-fried scal­lops and smoked salmon served with dou­ble crème and dill sauce.

The smoked salmon is home­made, boast­ing taste and tex­ture that is just right.

The spe­cial home­made dou­ble cream and dill sauce is smooth and creamy and com­ple­ments the salmon and scal­lops ex­cep­tion­ally well, en­hanc­ing the over­all taste of the dish beau­ti­fully. The pre­sen­ta­tion of the ap­pe­tiser makes it a vis­ual feast as well.

The Lob­ster Bisque that fol­lows is a thick, rich broth with lob­ster chunks to warm up your Christ­mas. This flavour­ful toma­to­based soup is hearty and rich, with­out be­ing cloy­ing. This would def­i­nitely warm up the tummy in prepa­ra­tion for the main course to fol­low.

The VS Tur­key roasted the tra­di­tional way is served with a chest­nut stuff­ing, car­rot, broc­coli, skil­let pota­toes, chicken sausages, cran­berry and roast tur­key sauce.

At Vic­to­ria Sta­tion, the tur­key is cooked the tra­di­tional way which re­sults in a suc­cu­lent, well-flavoured de­light. This year, you can ex­pect an en­hanced ver­sion for im­proved tex­ture and flavour.

At first bite, you can taste the sub­tle hints of bay leaf, rose­mary and thyme, which have been used in its prepa­ra­tion.

The chest­nut stuff­ing en­hances its over­all taste and tex­ture and the cran­berry sauce adds a hint of sweet­ness to round it all up.

Santa’s Sweet Tooth fea­tures Tra­di­tional Minced Pie and Christ­mas Pud­ding desserts.

Thie year, the home­made mince pies have been made ac­cord­ing to an im­proved recipe, which re­flects its de­li­cious taste.

Also home­made, the Christ­mas Pud­ding is rich in taste and not overly sweet.
