WHILE you won’t get a white Christmas in tropical Malaysia at the Windmill Restaurant, you are assured of a traditional Western-style Christmas dinner minus the freezing temperature.
The heavy wooden furniture against the backdrop of red-bricked walls, the festive decorations over the mock fireplace, the warm lighting and flickering candlelight from each table set the ambience for a festive atmosphere that is steeped in an elegant “old world” feel.
The dining experience is warm and intimate, making it an unforgettable one. This Christmas, Windmill serves up a choice of three Special Christmas menus that will be available only during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; each comprising a fourcourse Western meal.
The soups, dessert and beverage for each set is replicated but each menu offers different entrees. The meal starts with Creamy Pumpkin Soup – guaranteed to warm you up. The consistency is perfect, which makes the soup deliciously smooth and flavourful.
The entree for the set is roast turkey with honey glazed turkey ham and chestnut stuffing. The tender and moist meat is served with candied yam, parsley potatoes and delicious cranberry sauce. If you are a meat lover, opt for the next set: A roast beef and a New Zealand lamb combo set topped with vegetables, parsley potato and French fries.
If you are in the mood for something extravagant from the seas, choose the oven-baked, mouth-watering Tiger prawns and grilled chicken fillet that’s in-keeping with the season’s theme. Topped with The Windmill special sauce, you be served with a generous portion of vegetables, parsley potato and French fries to tantalise your taste buds.
After your main course, sweeten your palate with a dessert of fruit cocktail and ice cream. Then cap off this delightful meal with a steaming hot cup of cappuccino. All four-course sets are priced at RM69.90++.
