For a taste from the Land of the Ris­ing Sun, look no fur­ther than the fes­tive spread at Gen@10 Ja­panese Restau­rant.

Fea­tur­ing a wide se­lec­tion of Ja­panese del­i­ca­cies, the spread fea­tures a de­li­cious se­lec­tion of lip-smack­ing and en­tic­ing Ja­panese culi­nary cre­ations for din­ner on both Christ­mas Eve and Christ­mas Day that is bound to whet your ap­petite.

Gather the whole fam­ily for a mem­o­rable Yule­tide feast in one of its five cosy tatami rooms or feast at the main din­ing area with a mag­nif­i­cent view of the Kuala Lumpur sky­line while en­joy­ing a tan­ta­lis­ing se­lec­tion of over 90 types of dishes com­pris­ing sashimi, sushi, tem­pura, nabe (hot pot), tep­pa­nyaki, yaki­mono (grilled) and an ar­ray of dishes from the buf­fet line.

A wide se­lec­tion of seafood rang­ing from fresh oys­ters and juicy tiger prawns to suc­cu­lent snails and crabs await din­ers at the Seafood on Ice sec­tion. Scal­lops, hamachi (yel­low­tail), maguro (tuna), sake (salmon), ika (squid) and many more are also on the list.

Over at the sushi counter, be en­ticed with a sushi spread, each with in­ter­est­ing names such as Pink Lady Roll, Godzilla Roll, Vol­cano Roll, Danc­ing Roll, Cater­pil­lar Roll, Dy­na­mite Roll and more.

For some­thing warm and soupy, head to the clay­pot sec­tion where Sukiyaki with Beef, Miso Shiru and Grilled Mack­erel with Soba Noo­dles are served pip­ing hot, with var­i­ous condi­ments.

Among the hot item dishes served are Un­agi Kabayaki, Baked Crab Au Gratin, beef rolled in puff pas­try, gar­lic seafood fried rice, Chawan Mushi and Ja­panese Style Aglio-Olio spaghetti.

Es­pe­cially for the fes­tive sea­son, Chef Lau Yeou Shin, Gen@10’s Head Chef, has pre­pared a few tan­ta­lis­ing dishes for the en­joy­ment of din­ers, such as soft shell crab rolls with sweet mango, chicken roll with as­sorted sea­sonal mush­rooms and poached but­ter­fish and as­para­gus with salmon cream roe sauce.

For din­ers who still wish to have a fes­tive bite, there is a whole roast tur­key served with cran­berry giblet gravy and roasted whole lamb with mint sauce.

Round off the din­ner with an ar­ray of desserts such as omochi (gluti­nous rice cakes), sago with melon, green tea ice cream with red bean paste, the tra­di­tional christ­mas pud­ding as well as cakes, French pas­tries and fresh fruits.

Lo­cated at Level 10, Gen@10 Ja­panese Restau­rant is di­vided into three sec­tions: Sushi and Sashimi Counter, Tep­pa­nyaki Counter and the Main Din­ing Area.

Guests who re­quire pri­vacy will ap­pre­ci­ate Gen@10’s five tatami rooms – the largest has a seat­ing ca­pac­ity of 12 per­sons.

Note that the restau­rant is closed on Mon­days and for lunch on Satur­days, Sun­days and pub­lic hol­i­days.
