SUNWAY Resort Hotel & Spa ushers in the festive season with December Dreams, which features an amazing range of accommodation choices, dining and other celebratory package deals from Nov 25 to Jan 2, 2014.
A main dining highlight making its festive debut is Fuzion’s 12 Days to Christmas from Dec 14 to 25 – a feast of a dozen traditional dishes inspired by global kitchens and great recipes nightly at Fuzion’s live action stations dinner buffet from 6.30pm onwards.
The Fuzion’s culinary brigade takes inspiration from the festive menus of Europe, Middle East and Asia. The 12-day countdown begins on Saturday, Dec 14 with the first dish and continues until Christmas when all 12 traditional festive dishes are offered as part of Fuzion’s Christmas high tea and dinner buffets.
Three Italian Christmas classic dishes will be featured.
The main highlight is the Italian Homemade Tortellini with Napolitano Sauce. The second is also a pasta dish, Homemade Ravioli With Spinach And Ricotta Cheese.
A favourite Italian dessert, the Struffoli With Honey is a time-honoured festive favourite not only during Christmas, but also for Easter.
The Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage, also known as Cabbage Roll, is a popular Balkan cuisine.
Adding colour to the festive spread is the Jamaican Rice And Peas.
Karelian Pasteis, Potato and Carrot Casserole, ubiquitous Finnish mini-tarts are made from a thin rye crust with pureed potato and carrot filling.
Fuzion also serves up a fish dish, representing German Christmas culture – Grilled Carp Fish With Jacket Potatoes.
A traditional Christmas feast is never complete without servings of roasted and stuffed meat. On the menu for this season at Fuzion are six different offerings of flavourful meat using recipes from Europe, Middle East and Asia.
From France, try the Chestnut Stuffed Goose. Moving further down south to Portugal, is the Portuguese Roast Lamb, while a Danish dish, Roast Duck With Apple And Prune Stuffing pleases tastebuds with its sweet fruit stuffing. Adding an Asian flavour is the Hong Kong Roast Chicken.
Stuffed Turkey, a Christmas staple, is prepared using two different recipes. Award-winning Syrian Chef Khder Al-Issa dishes up his very own Syrian Stuffed Turkey With Green Wheat And Chestnut. In keeping with tradition, Fuzion also offers the traditional English Roast Turkey With Bread Sauce And Brussels Sprouts.
These 12 traditional festive delicacies served individually on different days, come together on Christmas Day for a grand celebratory feast.
Fuzion’s 12 Days to Christmas buffet dinner is priced at RM89++ per adult with a 50% discount for children between the ages of 4 and 12.
On the night of Christmas Eve, the buffet is priced at RM128++ per adult and RM64++ per child. Christmas Day Hi-Tea is priced at RM85++ per adult and RM43++ per child.
Guests dining at Fuzion on Christmas Eve will be serenaded by a strolling band as well as Christmas carollers. A Santa Parade spreads the season’s joy and a magician captivates diners to create a joyful atmosphere, continuing into high tea on Christmas day.
Alternatively, ring in the bells of the season at The Atrium at Pyramid Tower Hotel. Diners can enjoy a feast of local delicacies with traditional Christmas musthaves. Priced at RM98++ per adult and RM49++ per child for the Christmas Eve dinner and RM59++ per adult and RM28++ per child for Christmas Day High Tea, diners can dine at the buffets to the accompaniment of Christmas carollers belting out Yuletide favourites with the thrills of a magician and a Santa Parade bearing gifts for all.
