Lager­feld does Lon­don

THE Chanel and Fendi de­signer’s self-named fash­ion and ac­ces­sories la­bel will be open­ing up in the UK cap­i­tal in March next year.

The Karl Lager­feld con­cept store is set to open at 145-147 on Lon­don’s famed Re­gent Street, the West End shop­ping mecca which wel­comes over 70mil visi­tors a year.

The store will stock all the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and ac­ces­sories col­lec­tions, from hand­bags, leather goods, watches, eye­wear and scarves to footwear.

“Lon­don is one of the world’s lead- ing cities when it comes to Re­tail and this lo­ca­tion of­fers a unique brand mix,” said CEO Pier Paolo Righi. “Our Lon­don pres­ence will be a fan­tas­tic rep­re­sen­ta­tion of our brand’s aes­thetic, and it show­cases our cool, ac­ces­si­bleluxe col­lec­tions in a cut­ting-edge en­vi­ron­ment.”

The 250 sq m lo­ca­tion is the big­gest Euro­pean Karl Lager­feld store to date and will fea­ture stan­dard glossy black Lager­feld decor as well as the brand’s fo­cus on a con­nected dig­i­tal shop­ping ex­pe­ri­ence. Fans will be en­cour­aged to sign in on a dig­i­tal guest­book and leave mes­sages for Karl, while dis­play racks will hold iPad Minis for cus­tomers to browse the col­lec­tion and play with in­ter­ac­tive con­tent. The lat­est lo­ca­tion will join the ex­ist­ing Karl Lager­feld stores in Paris, Am­s­ter­dam, Ber­lin, Mu­nich, An­twerp, Shang­hai and Bei­jing. – AFP Re­laxnews
