IF this doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will.

An elementary school football team from Bridgewater, Massachusetts, in the United States, has been making headlines on the Internet after appearing on a WCVB news piece on YouTube, standing up for the team’s water boy.

The six-year-old water boy, Danny Keefe, has a speech impediment caused by a brain hemorrhage after he was born. It made him a target of bullies at school.

Those in the team, however, were not putting up with it. They all showed up in school one day wearing suits and ties, just like Danny would every day.

“We heard that Danny was getting picked on, so we thought we all would have a day when we would dress up like Danny, to show Danny that we love him very much,” said one of the students, who started choking up.

Danny himself doesn’t say much in the video, apart from telling a news reporter that it was the second happiest day of his life – second only to the day he left the hospital. The moral of the story? If a group of elementary school kids can stand up to bullies the right way, then so can the rest of us.

A link to the video has been posted on the R.AGE Facebook page. You can also watch it by iSnap-ing this page.
