and the flexibility to complete their entire degree here in Malaysia or opt for transfer to VU Australia to complete their studies. Students can also opt for the Student Exchange Programme where they get to complete one semester in VU Australia.
Business students Tan Kai Lin and Ting Kah Yiaw who recently went on the Student Exchange Programme share their experience. “Thanks to the Student Exchange Programme, I had the opportunity to study in Melbourne. I was excited to be there. It was a new environment of diverse cultures and lifestyle. People were friendly and I met so many students of different nationalities and made many new friends. Through Victoria University’s Malaysian Association (VUMA), I met fellow Malaysians where the seniors were happy to share their experience, which helped me a lot in adapting to my new environment. Overall, the experience has made me more independent,” says Kai Lin.
Kah Yiaw said: “I felt so glad and blessed to have been given a chance to go on the Student Exchange Programme to Victoria University, Melbourne for my last semester. Melbourne is indeed a great place to be, with beautiful scenery and awesome people. I got to know lots of friendly local people and new friends of different nationalities.
“Apart from a better understanding of global cultures, I also enjoyed the more relaxed Aussie lifestyle. This exchange programme took me out of my comfort zone and trained me to be more independent and confident, especially dealing with the new environment and challenges.
“It broadened my perspective and helped me to think maturely. I would like to thank Sunway University and Victoria University for granting me this precious lifetime experience.”
The intake for the VU Bachelor of Business programme at Sunway are in February and July.
The Student Exchange Programme offers the opportunity to make new friends as well.
