Fastest and smartest way
SINCE 1991, Brickfields Asia College (BAC) has established itself as the fastest and smartest way to UK Law and Business degrees.
Having sent more than 6500 law graduates into practice, the college has established an excellent reputation as a provider of quality education.
Its graduates are highly sought after by local and international firms in both the public and private sectors.
BAC currently has partnerships and affiliations with more than 20 foreign universities and professional organisations, offering its students access to over 70 world-class Law and Business degrees and professional qualifications that can be completed locally
As a crucial step towards tertiary education, BAC offers the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) A-Level that is recognised by universities and higher education institutions in over 150 countries, including those in Britain, the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, making it the most widely accepted pre-university qualification in the world.
After SPM, students looking for preuniversity programmes can choose to pursue BAC’s Cambridge A-Level Express Route (only 11 months) or opt for the Standard Route (18 months).
Students, however, will find that BAC’s ALevel Express Route programme the perfect option for them as this specially-designed 11month programme gives them an edge over those on the standard 18 or 24-month route.
Coupled with BAC’s UK Transfer Degree Programme in Law or Business, students will be able to graduate up to two years ahead of their peers, making BAC the fastest and smartest way to over 70 UK Law and Business degrees.
This year saw stellar performances in the ALevel examinations, where two BAC students were awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. Amanda Kong was awarded the Best Student in the World for Law while Lau Foong Yee was awarded the Best Student in the World for Business Studies.
Brickfields Law School
BAC is reputed for being the nation’s number one law school, producing many top students and award winners at the university and postgraduate levels in the past two years.
In 2012 and 2013 alone, BAC students secured 63 First Class Honours (LLB) degrees from the respective partner universities.
From 2005-2013, BAC’s CLP students secured every Tun Hamid Omar Foundation Award for Best Overall Student as well as 45 out of 55 book prizes and 51 out of 63 Second Uppers.
BAC is also one of the first institutions in the nation to offer two routes to a law degree – the University of London International Programme (UOL) and the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Law), which are recognised by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia (LPQB) and the Law Society in Britain.
Students who wish to pursue their degree in Malaysia can opt for the UOL programme as it is the ideal choice for those who wish to obtain an affordable internationally recognised British qualification.
This programme also has the distinction as being the only “external” law degree that is recognised by the LPQB.
The UKT Programme (Law) is perfect for students interested in studying in Britain while graduating with an internationally recognised degree from one of BAC’s prestigious British partner universities.
This programme enables students to complete their first and/or second year of their degree in Malaysia (2+1 or 1+2), thus considerably reducing the cost of their education. Students subsequently transfer to any of BAC’s partner universities to complete the final year of their degree.
Brickfields Business School
BAC also offers a UK Transfer degree programme in Business which works the same way as its Law counterpart.
The transfer programme offers students a choice of over 50 degrees ranging from the common (Business Management) to the unconventional (Festival and Events Management, Entrepreneurship, Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from a range of top notch universities such as De Montfort University, Keele University, Southampton Solent University, Northumbria University, Glyndwr University and Pembrokeshire College.
Students in this programme will take modules in areas such as economics, accounting, management, marketing and communications, along with other electives.
This programme also allows students to complete up to two years of a three year internationally recognised business degree in Malaysia, saving up to RM150,000.
To make tertiary education more accessible to students, BAC has set up the Brickfields Education Fund.
This fund awards Merit Scholarships and Financial Aid Scholarships to students based on academic excellence and financial need.
BAC has also collaborated with the Star Education Fund, MAPCU Education Fund and Sin Chew Education Fund to provide even more scholarship options for students.
Other forms of financial assistance include zero interest instalment payment schemes, PTPTN loans and EPF withdrawals.
BAC’s January 2014 intake is now underway and students who sign up will get a complimentary Microsoft Surface RT tablet (terms & conditions apply) worth RM1,099.
Students will stand a chance to win a Lotus Elise, a Mini One or a trip to watch the FA Cup Finals in London and much more.
