GRAND Lexis Port Dick­son is a five-star prop­erty de­signed with its own pri­vate pool in each of its 317 vil­las. In fact, it was listed as the re­sort with the most num­ber of swim­ming pools in the Malaysian Book of Records.

Dwellers can en­joy peace, tran­quil­lity and re­ju­ve­na­tion while be­ing spoilt by the com­fort of the lux­u­ri­ous re­sort.

Fea­tur­ing Ba­li­nese-in­spired vil­las linked by spa­cious board­walks, the units com­mand a scenic view of the open waters.

All pool vil­las also have a view of the sea­wa­ter lap­ping un­der­neath solid glass pan­els.

Apart from the Deluxe Pool Villa, which has one king-sized bed, and the Sky Pool Grand Villa with three king-sized beds, all other vil­las fea­ture two king-sized beds that can ac­com­mo­date four adults com­fort­ably.

In­side, all vil­las are adorned with nat­u­ral Ba­li­nese tum­ble stones, mar­ble and trop­i­cal hard­wood floor­ing, a gran­ite van­ity top, dec­o­ra­tive fab­ric head­board, qual­ity fur­ni­ture and san­i­tary fit­tings.

A large LCD TV with DVD player, deluxe cof­fee- and tea-mak­ing fa­cil­i­ties, mini bar, mi­crowave oven, cutlery and crock­ery are just some of the stan­dard ameni­ties in each villa.

At the end of the day, re­tire on a plush thick mattress over­laid with smooth cot­ton bed­spread and a lux­u­ri­ous cot­ton sa­teen com­forter, with equally com­fort­able pil­lows.

There are also sev­eral gar­den pool vil­las for one to feel re­laxed in.

Four restau­rants serve a wide range of del­i­ca­cies, lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional, even pub food. Duyung Restau­rant is an all-day din­ing restau­rant that serves a wide range of tempt­ing lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional cuisines.

For a great night out, head to the La­nun Bar where one may en­joy a live band in ac­tion. The Pool Cafe al­lows one to in­dulge in a drink or two while hav­ing a good tan by the pool.

For a taste of some­thing ori­en­tal, try the Genn Ja­panese Restau­rant, a cosy yet charm­ing Ja­panese eatery that serves favourites from the Land of the Ris­ing Sun.

Other ameni­ties in­clude a ded­i­cated chil­dren’s pool and a gazebo. The sandy area, just be­side the Tower Block, is ideal for beach soc­cer, vol­ley­ball, in­flat­able rock climb- ing or team-build­ing ex­er­cises. Div­ing lessons are also avail­able.

Those who seek to unwind and re­ju­ve­nate, Som­po­ton Spa at Level 2 of the Tower Block ex­udes the tran­quil­lity and treat­ments the body needs to feel re­ju­ve­nated and re­newed.

All 272 chalets and tower rooms are de­signed with a trop­i­cal Ba­li­nese touch that com­bines charm, el­e­gance and com­fort.

There is also a ball­room and three meet­ing rooms avail­able for sem­i­nars or meet­ings, with a max­i­mum ca­pac­ity of 250 for the ball­room.

The re­sort also fea­tures a Cof­fee House for ca­sual din­ing, serv­ing lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional de­lights, while the Lobby Bar Lounge is ideal for re­fresh­ing drinks and light bites.
